LAO ZHUANG NEXT DOOR
If one line a day isn't enough…
A small free tool from Lao Zhuang Next Door. Each day there's one card: a line from Laozi's Tao Te Ching or the Zhuangzi, an explanation in plain words, and one gentle thing to try today.
The card is chosen by the date, so everyone in the world draws the same one on the same day. That makes it easy to talk about it with friends. No sign-up needed.
No. The cards don't predict anything or tell you good luck from bad. Each one is a line from Laozi or Zhuangzi with a plain explanation and a small practice, to help you see what's in front of you from another angle.
Each day's card is set by the date. You can share today's card with friends, or comment on Instagram @nextdoor.laozhuang and talk about the same line together.
They're our own plain-English renderings of the classical Chinese, aimed at clarity for everyday readers. The original Chinese is shown under each line.
